PROFILE

From the courtroom to a wider public-service chapter

A look at Pelumi Olajengbesi's growing public profile after a highly visible role in Osun politics and his 2027 House of Representatives ambition.

SHARE

Pelumi Olajengbesi has spent much of his professional life in law, advocacy and public commentary. In 2026, that public profile widened as he became increasingly visible in Osun politics and in conversations around representation in Oriade and Obokun.

His current political chapter builds on an earlier record of student leadership, public-interest advocacy and legal practice. Rather than presenting the move into politics as a break from those years, his public statements have consistently framed it as an extension of service and a chance to bring new energy to representation.

Ahead of the 2027 general election, he is the Accord candidate for the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives. The campaign places his Ijesa roots, professional background and argument for generational renewal at the centre of the story.

The months ahead will test whether that combination of law, advocacy and grassroots political activity can translate into an enduring constituency movement.
