Ijesa North traditional rulers back Reps ambition

Pelumi Olajengbesi's bid to represent Oriade and Obokun received a public show of support from the Ijesa North Traditional Rulers' Council during a town-hall engagement in Iloko-Jesa in July 2026.

The gathering brought together traditional leaders, community members and political stakeholders. The council expressed confidence in his capacity to represent the constituency and deliver meaningful democratic representation.

For Olajengbesi, the engagement was also an opportunity to emphasise the importance of listening to traditional institutions and community voices. His response framed the support as a responsibility rather than simply a political endorsement.

The event became one of the clearest public signs that his 2027 ambition was gaining attention beyond party structures and into community institutions across Ijesa North.
